This photo was taken by my grandson Tyler in the Butchart Gardens, Victoria, Canada. We had a wonderful time together on our Alaskan adventure. Time well spent with one of my grandchildren. I wish I could be able to do a trip like this with each one of my grandchildren. But since a couple of them are married now, I’ll leave it up to their husbands to treat them to a trip like this one. The others maybe will have the opportunity if I live long enough?

During the Alaskan cruise, I had the opportunity to spread the word about my book Bailie Beach and the upcoming release of the second book in the trilogy, Love on the Rebound. I look forward to hopefully seeing some good results on the book in sales this October, for the past three months that I have been promoting the book through social media and doing book signing events.

I did a book event at a Barnes & Noble in Murfreesboro this past Saturday. Had a great experience meeting four other authors, who all happened to be females. Two of them were authors of children books, while the other two were Mystery and Romance. Have pictures of a couple of women who bought my book at the event and were willing to share their presence. Enjoyed visiting with Victoria and Nichole were both interesting to meet.

I find doing these events rewarding in the personal contact I have with people. Hopefully, I can have the opportunity to do more over the next year. I hope to do more library events only because in those events I have the opportunity to actually tell the attendees about my book and the journey in writing the book. Also, the interaction of the questions and answer part where we can exchange in conversation.

So, where am I at presently in my writing. The third book manuscript in the trilogy is complete and waiting to be released sometime in the future. I have written a Mystery Thriller which the manuscript is being read by my rainbow girls who will give me feedback on content and the flow of the overall story. I have started a second book with the same main character that is in the one being read by my beta readers. This too is a murder mystery that takes place in the Finger Lakes region of New York State.

This past weekend, I was inspired to begin a book that will be a different genre. It will be an inspirational book that I have already logged in one chapter. Sitting in church this past Sunday, the priest Father Jerry inspired me to begin writing this book. Was it divine inspiration? MAYBE. But it will be one that I will finish and will be the next one to be published early next year is my goal.

I love writing and find my imagination is sometimes on fire. I enjoy writing and hope I can continue to write for some time to come. God willing and the Creek don’t rise!
