October 24, 2025

On October 16, 2025, Rebecca and I celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary in Mrytle Beach, South Carolina. We spent one night in Columbia, South Carolina on October 14th. From there we were in Mrytle Beach, staying at the Hampton Inn located on the beach. We had a wonderful time the next three days taking in some of the local attractions, like Carolina Opry, the Aquarium and dining at some of the fine restaurants. Returned home on October 18th. The celebrating was not complete because another important date was coming up related to October 20, 1963 which marks the very first date we had together as a couple. What did we do? Our first date encompassed a drive to Binghamton, New York on a Sunday afternoon and sharing an ice cream cone. There you have it, 62 years together.

I have been somewhat disappointed with the lack of support I’ve received on my first book, Bailie Beach. I know many people have read the novel but the reviews on Amazon and Barnes & Noble websites have been lacking. As an author, you look for feedback as to whether the story you wrote is good, bad or was the reader indifferent to the story? The reviews help to make the book more visible so other readers pick up the book.

The second book in the trilogy which I call the Bailie Beach Saga, is on the cusp of being released next month. I’m just waiting for the publisher to make the final revision to the cover before the book is released. The Title, Love on The Rebound continues the story for Tommy as he returns to college at Syracuse University. The whole trilogy is inspired by true events; however, the second book is fiction and only carries the story as it might have happened following the story in the first book. In this extension of the story, obsession becomes more intense, revenge continues to fester in the background and the love story continues to develop. The suspense in the story increases where murder takes place causing more stress in the lives of the two lovers. To all readers of my books, please provide feedback reviews on my books on the Barnes & Noble and Amazon websites. If you like my stories, please support me. The third book in the trilogy will be released during 2026. The title, Sometimes Alone is the final book in the trilogy of this love story.

Update on my mystery novels that I’ve been working on this year. The main character is derived from the last book in the Bailie Beach Saga. It’s a detective, who is the main character, named John Edward Bertone (JEB) as everyone calls him except his wife. The first book that is a completed manuscript is in the hands of my beta readers, the Rainbow Girls as I like to call them. Why Rainbow Girls? Well, they represent different personalities and different opinions when reviewing my books. The Title of the book they are reviewing is titled, Murder in Spanish Springs. The second mystery, I’m presently writing is titled, Keuka Lake Murders. The second mystery also features the main character, John Edward Bertone.

Unfortunately, having to fund my own publishing and promoting my books is quite expensive. I don’t have the finances to continue to promote or self-publish my books going forward. The ability to publish the last book in the trilogy is in danger of not getting to the book store. I’m beginning to seek out a literary agent to help get my future writings and promotion financed. Hopefully that process will be fruitful with a satisfactory result.
